Founded in 1995, IESL is an engineering company providing support to the oil and gas industry. Working at both academic and industrial level our journey has taken us to field operations, technology development, knowledge transfer processes and engineering support to operators, service providers, universities and industry associations. Innovative Engineering Systems Limited was founded in 1995 by Dr. Jeff Callander and Juan Tovar. With over two decades of successful international experience both onshore and offshore, the company’s strategy was based on the development and implementation of engineering capabilities to support the well construction, reservoir management and production engineering disciplines. Over the years, IESL has build an outstanding reputation and track record for delivering results in these areas. The company contribution has resulted in significant client’s achievements, enhanced value of their assets and improved operational performance worldwide.
For almost three decades Innovative Engineering have dedicated all its efforts to technically and operationally support its clients in the oil and gas industry. We have successfully helped our clients to design, drill, complete and produce their fields and reservoirs effectively and efficiently. As our clients transition to a cleaner, safer and a more advanced industry, we evolved to meet their new requirements.
This evolution is allowing us to provide our services through new processes and innovative formats. 25 years of expertise, data engineering and analytical resources have been transformed to meet the new challenges, including those for cleaner energies such a gas, carbon storage, geothermal and renewable energy, all in the same reliable, realistic and efficient manner that has characterised the company’s for all these years.

We successfully managed the many industry cycles by delivering sound, first class engineering support to our client’s operations. In 2017 we started our journey and transition by evolving our capabilities aided by digitalization of our existing services and developing new services. Using our in-house developed data science and engineering processes, the results are outstanding and led us to our new Strata-MecanicaTM data engineering and analysis portal that aims to be the largest client support system for geomechanical applications in the world.

At IESL we have contributed to the development of a generation of professionals in many disciplines associated with geosciences, well construction, production and reservoir engineering. Our engineers, geologists and geoscientist have successfully completed over 600 projects for our clients in most oil & gas basins around the world; from the Peruvian jungle to Southern Australia and from West Africa to Norway.
