5 Master lectures for the school of Petroleum engineering at the Universidad Central de Venezuela were completed last week. Started early in the year the main topic was “Geomechanics applied to well construction and reservoir engineering processes”. These lectures covered practical topics such as wellbore stability, sand production prediction, reservoir mechanical performance and the role of Geomechanics in the production and water injection processes. It was presented for the SPE UCV Chapter and facilitated by the SPE Venezuela section.
