IESL was awarded work for a Norwegian operator needing to determine the risk of asphaltene deposition and near wellbore formation damage. Crude properties were evaluated and ADE determined, near wellbore mechanical performance was estimated allowing the operator to design, plan and execute chemical treatments to minimise both the effect of asphaltene deposition and near wellbore damage without production impairment. A thermal element was identified a potentially contributing to the success of the treatment
