IESL has successfully completed geomechanical work for the Gulf of Guinea. An operator required an assessment of the field geomechanical and expected production conditions in the area and whether sanding will be induced. Local and regional geomechanical models were developed and validated resulting in robust predictions that allowed to oil company to select the optimum completion design for the new wells.
